We really enjoyed Deerhunter’s recent double LP Microcastle / Weird Era Cont - it’s definitely one (if not two) of the better albums of 2008 and we were glad to be able to catch them in Houston. Even though we were a bit jetlagged after returning from Europe the day before, it was really easy to enjoy the show.
Recording at the Warehouse Live Studio is always tough (for a variety of reasons) - the Deerhunter show sounds good, but not as good as many other recordings made at other venues in Houston. We hope you enjoy the first recording available on houtaper.com.
